3 powerful videos on medical torture

08Apr11

Bob Sacha & Scott Anger have produced three powerful videos focusing on three cases that amount to medical torture:

● A young man dying of brain cancer in Ukraine, where his daily permitted dose of a painkilling drug is too small to be effective.

● HIV-positive women in Namibia who are sterilized without their permission or awareness of what is happening.

● Drug-addicted and other mentally afflicted people in Cambodia for whom the only treatment is warehoused incarceration.

This behind-the-scenes blog post on the Open Society Foundations site gives a glimpse of what it was like to spend 10 days in the cramped home of the dying man.
