Philadelphia Police Advisory Commission meeting, March 21, 2011
Capt. Vanore passes out his business card at Police Advisory Commission meeting. Members of the Police Advisory Commission meet on Monday evening, March 21, 2011, at the 12th & Cambria Recreation Center in North Philadelphia. About 15 citizens attended the public-comment portion of the meeting, several of whom asked questions or voiced concerns.  One man wanted to know why it sometimes took police hours to respond to a call. Capt. Frank Vanore of the 25th Police District attended and explained that a 9-1-1 call about a man running down the street with a gun would yield in priority to a call for an injury accident or other emergency.  Vanore distributed his card to several people and invited them to get in touch with him. The civilian oversight panel’s next meeting will be April 18 at Community College of Philadelphia. PAC website.
