Acorns atop a truckEven more common than falling cicadas are the acorns dropping onto the rooftop of a truck resting nearby for the weekend, each one announcing the season with a resounding plunk, then parking in place until . . . Monday when the truck will roll away and so too will its inadvertent harvest of oak seeds.
