Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, June 1, 2008In the top of the ninth inning on Sunday, as the Phillies were about to defeat the Florida Marlins and move back into first place in their division, a dragonfly alighted on the finger of a fan in the Diamond Club section. For well over one minute the insect clung to the finger as if it were a cattail in a bog, then flew off as the Marlin’s final batter struck out. An omen?
