A firefighter from the Gladwyne Fire Company pours water into the engine compartment where a fire broke out after a collision on Aug. 10, 2008, involving this Audi and a Volkswagen Passat near a curve on Conshohocken State Road in Gladwyne, Pa. No one was injured, according to the fire chief. The onlooker with the umbrella — the only bright spot in a dreary, rainy moment — was believed to have been in one of the cars. The fire company was at the scene for about an hour, until the wreckers arrived.
