RV for free
12Jun08

In a sign of the times, an RV sits “for sale” just off California Route S22 near Ranchita with its bargain-basement price scrawled on a side window. On the windshield, the message also says OBO — or best offer. On the day this photo was taken, the price for a gallon of regular unleaded in nearby Warner Springs was $4.86.

For some reason, this picture isn’t showing up for me. All your others have. Is there a technical issue? Mercury is retrograde, after all.
Now, it’s working! A sign of the times, indeed!
Recently my father’s lawn tractor caught fire and burned pretty badly. Since all the neighbors knew what had happened, he put up a sign next to the wreck, as a joke, saying, “For Sale.”
Imagine his surprise when somebody came and offered him $500 for the hulk!
